SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio (WJW) — Police Chief Jack Simone says the majority of the complaints his department gets from those living in Springfield Township is about excessive speed.
“You see the signs everywhere we have children that play here we love our children please slow down but people they just don’t seem to care,” said Jacqulyn Ashbrook, who lives on Northview Drive.

The speed limit on most of Springfield Township’s residential streets is 25 miles per hour.
So, to help slow people down trustees have invested in three speed signs with a display that not only flashes the speed drivers are traveling when they approach the signs but will take images of those who are the most egregious violators…
