WARRIORS WORK LATE FOR THE WIN

CANFIELD, OH — The Walsh Jesuit Warriors emerged victorious in a closely contested game against the Springfield Tigers, claiming a 38-33 win on Friday night as part of the South Range Holiday Hoops Classic Tournament.

Springfield started strong, leading 10-6 after the first quarter and maintaining a 16-12 advantage at halftime. The Tigers clung to a narrow 26-23 lead at the end of the third quarter, but the Warriors surged in the final frame, outscoring Springfield 15-7 to secure the win.

Jameka Brungard powered Springfield’s offense with 20 points, while Mariana Tuscano added eight. Despite their efforts, the Tigers were unable to fend off Walsh Jesuit’s balanced attack.
