ARLINGTON, Va. (7News) — Volunteers gathered at Arlington National Cemetery Saturday morning to remove wreaths from gravesites almost a month after Wreaths Across America honored fallen soldiers during the holidays.

More than 2,000 volunteers participated in the effort to collect the wreaths, which were originally placed on Dec. 14. A total of 260,000 wreaths brought in by several 18-wheelers had been donated and placed at headstones throughout the cemetery.
