SALISBURY, Md. (WBFF) — A five-month investigation by Maryland law enforcement agencies has led to the indictment of 39 people involved in a large-scale drug trafficking operation on the Eastern Shore according to Maryland State Police.
Police say the investigation, conducted by Wicomico Narcotics—a task force including Maryland State Police, Fruitland Police, the Wicomico County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the DEA—began in Spring 2024 and targeted the distribution of illegal drugs such as cocaine and fentanyl in Wicomico, Dorchester, and Baltimore counties.
In August, authorities executed multiple search warrants across the three counties, seizing more than 2,500 grams of suspected cocaine, nearly 30 grams of fentanyl, 14 firearms, and four vehicles used in drug transport, police said…
