Woman stabbed near Southeast DC fire house seriously injured, officials say

WASHINGTON (7News) — A woman was stabbed multiple times near a Southeast D.C. firehouse Wednesday morning, according to D.C. Police.

Police were called to the 400 block of 8th Street, Southeast after a crewmember at the Engine 18 station told dispatch at around 8:50 a.m. that a woman was stabbed opposite of the firehouse building, according to a D.C. Fire and EMS official.

D.C. Fire and EMS crews provided aid and later transported her to the hospital for serious injuries, according to D.C. officials. Police said the injured woman was conscious and breathing when officers arrived…
