Oakley Police Seek Hit-&-Run Driver Who Caused Power Outage

The Oakley Police Department is currently looking for a hit-and-run driver of a vehicle crash that took out a PG&E power pole and caused a power outage in the City of Oakley.

According to the City, On January 5, 2024, at 9:17 PM Oakley officers were dispatched to the area of Laurel Road and Teton Road on the report of a vehicle that drove through a fence; one person was seen running from the vehicle.

Oakley police officers arrived on scene and found the vehicle had taken out a power pole, causing a loss of power in the area. PG&E was called to the scene to restore the power. The vehicle was a rental vehicle and witnesses and passengers on scene said the driver fled on foot in an unknown direction…
