SF Bay Ferry announces 16% ridership gain in 2024

During the course of the year, the ferry service shuttled some 2.6 million passengers across the Bay. On average, the ferry saw a daily ridership of 7,148 passengers.

That represents a recovery to 90% of pre-pandemic levels, according to a news release from the ferry, marking one of the highest recovery rates for any transit operator in the region. Ridership apparently picked up in the latter half of the year with ridership spiking to 97% of pre-pandemic levels in the last six months.
