Yellow Roof Foundation Unveils Gonsalves Landing in Oakley

On December 11, local dignitaries, government officials, donors and trade partners joined Yellow Roof Foundation for a ceremonial ribbon cutting and unveiling of the latest Yellow Roof community of income-based, affordable homes for families at risk of homelessness in Oakley.

Eight families and individuals will move into the community, named Gonsalves Landing in honor of East Bay business leader and Yellow Roof supporter Steve Gonsalves and his late wife, Debra. Gonsalves Landing is built on surplus land acquired by Yellow Roof from the City of Oakley for the creation of the new and much-needed affordable homes

During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Yellow Roof celebrated its partnerships, while introducing the eight residences: Gonsalves House, Marques House, Benson-Snow House, Marilyn House, Covenant House, Mike & Laurie Rose House, Gutridge House and Montero House…
