Steele’s 21 points leads Kingston to win over White Plains

KINGSTON – Coach Ron Kelder traditionally schedules tough non-league opponents to prepare the Kingston boys’ basketball team for battles in the Section 9 tournament.

The 2024-25 version of the Tigers has answered the challenge, registering its latest win on Saturday, 43-29, over White Plains at Kate Walton Fieldhouse. Marcus Steele led Kingston (6-3) with 21 points.

“I think (the tough schedule) just gets you ready,” Kelder said. “It’s not about your record at the end of the year. It’s about what you what you do against your section and then get ready for playoffs.”…
