Tom Bolden, the head football coach at Lakota West High School, has been honored with the 2024 Paul Brown Excellence in Coaching Award by the Cincinnati Bengals. This prestigious annual accolade by the Bengals recognizes outstanding high school football coaches in the region. Bolden was recognized by the Bengals at their recent game against the Denver Broncos.
“Tom is one of one. There is nobody else like Coach Bolden,” said Lakota West Principal Scott Laman. “His work ethic, authenticity and relentless energy resonate with anyone around him.”
Bolden’s remarkable leadership has transformed the Lakota West football program since he took over in 2019. Under his guidance, the Firebirds have made it to the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) playoffs every season.
