CINCINNATI (WKRC) – An unexpected package arriving at someone’s doorstep might seem like a pleasant surprise, but experts warned that it could be part of a “brushing” scam.
These packages often come with a QR code, urging recipients to scan it to discover the sender’s identity.
The scammer sends the package so they can write a fake review in hopes that it will legitimize their product and allow them to sell hundreds, thousands, or even millions more of this not-so-great product.
