Corewell Health limits visitors in pediatric units at Metro Detroit hospitals amid rise in respiratory illnesses

Corewell Health has added visitor restrictions at its Southeast Michigan hospitals amid a rise in respiratory illnesses, hospital officials said.

Under the new guidelines, only two people are allowed to be with a patient during the day, and one person is permitted to be with them overnight.

The restrictions went into effect on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025, at the following hospitals:

  • Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital
  • Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital
  • Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital
  • Corewell Health Trenton Hospital
  • Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital
  • Corewell Health Wayne Hospital
  • Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital
