John Calipari may have tempered expectations after Arkansas’ 85-69 charity exhibition win over No. 1 Kansas, but Razorback fans have plenty of reasons to celebrate his impressive debut as the new head Hog.
“Look, they had two of their better players out, so let’s not do triple backflips,” Calipari said post-game, in reference to Kansas’ injured preseason All-American center Hunter Dickinson and guard Rylan Griffen.
The game was played in four 10-minute quarters instead of the traditional 20-minute halves, a change agreed upon by Calipari and Kansas coach Bill Self before the game. The exhibition was sponsored by CareSource, and will benefit Arkansas Children’s Hospitals and Fore The Kids Foundation…
