Taqueria del Sol is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at each of its Georgia locations. This special milestone marks a quarter-century of guests lining up to enjoy their favorite Mexican-meets-Southern menu of weekly specials, tacos, enchiladas, margaritas and more. The celebration will feature a nostalgic return to its opening menu and pricing circa the year 2000, with all proceeds of the day’s sales being distributed amongst Taqueria del Sol employees.
“People can say what they want about the restaurant industry, but we’re here today because we truly love what we do,” says Mike Klank, co-founder and owner of Taqueria del Sol. “It’s about building genuine relationships with our guests, serving exceptional food consistently, and cultivating a strong sense of hospitality within our team—those are the things that have fueled our success and are worth celebrating today.”
This sense of community and hospitality has been at the heart of Taqueria del Sol since its inception and the restaurant hopes the anniversary celebration culminates in a family reunion, featuring former employees who are set to return to connect with their beloved guests and bar regulars to celebrate the unique bonds formed over the years.

Their long-standing passion for food and their shared entrepreneurial spirit set the foundation for Taqueria del Sol’s signature blend of bold flavors and inventive, fast-casual dining. Taqueria del Sol’s unique approach to cuisine and dining has earned national recognition and awards throughout the years, including multiple James Beard Foundation nominations in the ‘Outstanding Restaurateur’ category…
