SPRING LAKE, N.C. (WNCN) — Cumberland County deputies are investigating a deadly shooting in Spring Lake Thursday afternoon.
According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 4:01 p.m. to the 1300 block of Atomic Drive for a report of a shooting. They found a man who was shot. The man succumbed to his injuries at a medical facility.
The victim was identified as 22-year-old Damonte Mayson Larsen of Spring Lake, according to the sheriff’s office.
Woman charged with accessory after the fact in murder of 7-year-old in North Carolina
Deputies say 21-year-old Tresean Alexander Green of Fayetteville is wanted for the first-degree murder of Larsen. Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
