BELLEVUE, Wash. — A personal injury law firm has filed a lawsuit against the state of Washington on behalf of Bellevue police officer Kevin Bereta, who was seriously injured while riding his motorcycle on duty in August 2023.
While working in Vice President Kamala Harris’ motorcade, Bereta hit a guardrail with his motorcycle and was ejected over his handlebars, off the side of the overpass, and onto oncoming traffic on southbound I-5.
The Stritmatter Firm said Bereta “was catastrophically injured” and fell over a 27-inch-tall railing “30 feet onto Interstate 5 below.”…
