Suspected DUI driver arrested after vehicle ends up in Dyes Inlet

TRACYTON, Wash. — Deputies in Kitsap County have arrested a man for suspected DUI after he apparently drove his vehicle into Dyes Inlet on Tuesday night.

In a release, Kitsap County deputies said they responded to a car in the water call around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies found the vehicle submerged in Dyes Inlet several yards from a boat ramp.

Deputies followed wet footprints and located the 22-year-old driver, who was still soaking wet and smelled of alcohol, the release said. They said the driver admitted to drinking but did not know where he was until he realized his feet were wet. He managed to climb out of the vehicle and make his way to shore, deputies said…
