Vikings inch closer to No. 1 seed in NFC with close win over Seahawks

Filling in for an injured Harrison Smith, Minnesota Vikings safety Theo Jackson came up with a huge play on Sunday to give the team an impressive win on the road over the Seattle Seahawks.

Jackson picked off Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith with less than a minute to go in the fourth quarter, and that play sealed a Vikings victory in Seattle for the first time since the 2006 season.

With the win, Minnesota now has a 13-2 record with two games left on its 2024 regular-season schedule. If the Vikings win both of their remaining matchups, then they will not only emerge as the NFC North champions, but they will also have home-field throughout the playoffs by finishing the season as the No. 1 seed in the NFC…
