FLINT, MI — Neither the city nor the operator of the Hasselbring Senior Center are publicly speculating about exactly what will happen at the city-owned facility when the doors open on Monday, Jan. 6.
Flint officials have told the nonprofit operator that shares the name of the facility that it’s terminating its lease and it must move from the property on West Home Avenue no later than Sunday, Jan. 5.
But rather than leaving quietly, the group is planning an overnight “senior sleepover” at the center on Sunday night and Monday morning.
