According to the National Weather Service, rain will become widespread late tonight and persist through Sunday, with thunderstorms possible by the afternoon. Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 45 mph, creating hazardous conditions for drivers, especially along major roadways such as I-90. High temperatures on Sunday will reach near 60 degrees before dropping into the upper 30s overnight.
The week ahead will bring cooler temperatures and more precipitation. Monday is expected to be partly cloudy with a high of 45 degrees, but another system will bring rain on Tuesday, transitioning to snow by Tuesday night.
