Sedona News – The University Women of Sedona (UWoS) will host their next informational meeting on Monday, January 6 at 9:30 a.m. when Kate Morrill, interim Executive Director and Grants Manager, will present with an update about Manzanita Outreach.
Manzanita Outreach is a Verde Valley-based 501(c)(3), Arizona Non-Profit and the largest food assistance provider in Yavapai county. Its’ goal is to make the county the first food-secure county in America.
“There is plenty of food, but getting it to the people who need it most takes a community effort”, says Morrill. She will be reviewing Manzanita Outreach’s many programs, including their primary Community Food Sharing Program, along with the various forms of mobile food distribution they participate in, like their Tewa Holiday Project, the Crossing Worlds Hopi Project, MO Packs for Kids, and their involvement in crisis planning and crisis response activities…
