Volleyball sets off Screaming Eagles with win in doubleheader

The Cougars beat the University of Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles in both games over the past weekend at the First Community Arena at the Vadalabene Center.

The first game began neck-and-neck, as USI and SIUE were always within three points of each other throughout the entire first set. The first set eventually ended with SIUE taking the point, 25-22.

The second set started with a Cougar lead before the Screaming Eagles took over. When the score was 24-20 with USI leading, the game started shifting to favor SIUE. Freshman middle blocker Taya Nordmann started up momentum with a kill to make the score 24-21. The score eventually became 25-23 with USI winning the set due to an error on SIUE’s side…
