Man reported missing after Uber ride from Bay Area to Placer County found dead, officials say

(FOX40.COM) — A man who was reported missing after traveling via Uber from Santa Rosa to Auburn has been found dead , according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

The agency said on Friday that 23-year-old Spencer Pease, of Auburn, was found in a “difficult to access area below the Foresthill Bridge.”

Deputies and CAL FIRE officials helped recover his body, and there were no suspicious circumstances suspected, the sheriff’s office said.

“We extend our condolences to (Pease’s) family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time. We thank those who provided tips and offered support over the last few days,” the sheriff’s office said.
