The Thompson Valley High School varsity cheerleading team secured runner-up honors at the Colorado High School Activities Association Spirit Championships, marking their ninth consecutive year placing in the top two. Competing in Denver, the co-ed 4A team scored 79.25 points, finishing just behind Coal Ridge High School, which achieved an 82.6. Coach Shari Robinson noted the team had previously led heading into finals since 2018 but managed to rally from third place to secure the current finish. Senior Allison Rutt expressed pride in her team’s hard work and dedication, while Robinson emphasized the strong leadership from senior members to support the younger athletes.
