As a pet owner, this story infuriates me so much. Two puppies were tossed in a dumpster in Longmont, Colorado this week. Thankfully the duo were found by neighbors in the area on Tuesday morning.
According to 9 News, the Shih Tzu puppies were found huddled together and appeared terrified in the dumpster near Zlaten Drive and Timm Way in an apartment complex. A good samaritan by the name of Cierra Barajas was walking her dogs in the area when a neighbor approached her and told her about the dogs in the dumpster.
Barajas wound up inside the dumpster and fed the pair leftover ground beef from her refrigerator. After getting the puppy’s tummies full of food, she took the two to the Longmont Humane Society for care.
