There’s something about how UNC took down NC State that makes you feel alive inside. Perhaps it is all of the adrenaline that blitzed through our veins during the final seconds. Maybe it’s the legitimate block that stunned Kevin Keatts because he thought it was goaltending. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s the fact that I haven’t heard a peep from State fans since that game. Whatever the reason for me feeling high on life is, I’m just happy to be here.
My hope is that by the time tonight’s game is over I will still be happy to be here. While the win over the Wolfpack was glorious, the Heels made their share of mistakes in that game, and honestly the first half was somehow the worst basketball I’ve seen this year. That should be saying a lot, because we’ve seen a lot of bad basketball from this team. Thankfully State was just as bad, but Cal may not give the Heels the luxury of messing around, which may immediately lead to finding out. I will say that looking through their games so far, the Golden Bears aren’t a very good team. A lot of their wins have been against Our Sisters of the Poor and Virginia. In fact, they are currently 1-4 in the ACC, which is good enough for being tied second to last. Needless to say, the Heels can’t lose this game…
