The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department says an officer shot and killed a man outside Coyote Joe’s in west Charlotte around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
CMPD Chief Johnny Jennings said an officer was working off-duty at the nightclub on Wilkinson Boulevard and called in about someone with a gun. Once other officers arrived on scene, an officer felt a threat and shot and killed the man with the gun, Jennings said.
