A Florida panther was killed near State Road 29 in Collier County, marking the 30th death of the endangered species this year, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

FWC reported on its website the 3.5 year-old male panther was struck by a vehicle about two miles South of the Deep 50 gun range.
