Suspect in officer-involved shooting of Memphis police chief arrested

LUBBOCK, Texas — Authorities arrested Seth Altman, 33, on Friday for his involvement in an officer-involved shooting on Friday, October 4. Altman was wanted for seriously injuring the Memphis police chief, Rex Plant, in Memphis, Texas.

Altman was captured by the Fort Worth Police Department. He was arrested at 4:57 p.m. near 1300 East Lancaster Avenue in Fort Worth.

EverythingLubbock.com previously reported Chief Plant was attempting to serve a burglary warrant at a residence when Altman ran out of the back door and shot the chief. DPS said Altman fled the scene.
