LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A University of Kentucky football team that has not been ready for prime time in some time will have to gather itself for another showdown under the lights at No. 7 ranked Tennessee on Saturday.

“We’ve got a great, great challenge ahead of us once again, going on the road to play Tennessee in a great environment, very hostile, very tough environment, night game once again,” Kentucky coach Mark Stoops said on Wednesday. “I think that’s our fourth straight 8 o’clock Eastern game. Thank you for that. That’s a lot of fun,”

I don’t think I need to point out the sarcasm in Stoops’ tone, but will. It’s a “blackout” game for the Vols, or as they call it, “dark mode,” where they don black uniforms, as they did two years ago in a 44-6 demolition of the Wildcats. Tennessee has worn the black uniforms four times over the past 15 years and won those games by an average of better than 25 points…
