LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Kentucky Transportation Cabinet snow fighters and contract crews are continuing to monitor and treat roadways throughout the district in response to Winter Storm Blair.
The district includes areas in Jefferson, Bullitt, Franklin, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, Henry, and Trimble Counties. KYTC said crews have been operating on a rotating schedule since 4 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5, responding to the impact of Blair, which brought heavy snowfall of up to nine inches in some areas and a mix of freezing rain.
While interstates within these districts have been salted, plowed, and are passable, the threat of black ice remains high during morning hours due to frigid temperatures and wet roadways…
