Lonnie Walker didn’t make the Celtics opening night roster and was forced to take a deal overseas instead. What’s worse is the Celtics didn’t bother filling out their roster. Boston has 14 players on their roster leaving the last spot open. A move that will save the C’s roughly $10 million in luxury taxes by keeping the spot open.
Sorry, not sorry, but this is nonsense and it’s not arguable.
Imagine an NFL team only carrying 52 players because they didn’t want to pay to fill out the roster…
