Spencer Carbery attends Commanders training camp

Part of coaching is being active in the community and Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery today took in Commanders training camp practice ahead of the NFL season. Scott Abraham of ABC 7 News DC tweeted out a pic from Commanders Park in Ashburn, Virginia.

Carbery recently spoke to NHL.com’s Tom Gulitti about his beleif in Alex Ovechkin breaking Wayne Gretzky’s record as the season is 50 days away beginning tomorrow.

Dylan Strome also spoke to NHL.com about Ovechkin in a story that came out today. With 41 away from tying, Ovechkin has scored 40 goals or more in 13 of his 19 NHL seasons. Despite starting last season with just eight goals in his first 43 games, he finished the season with 23 goals in his final 36 games.
