Family of woman who died in San Francisco jail speaks out

SAN FRANCISCO ( KRON ) — The family of Aamonte Hadley are demanding answers after dying inside of San Francisco’s county jail earlier this month . On Tuesday, they are speaking out and calling for information regarding her sudden death.

On Sept. 3, 22-year-old Aamonte Hadley was found unresponsive and pronounced dead in San Francisco County Jail. On Tuesday, her family and community leaders spoke out calling for accountability.

“Justice would have been for her to be home with her family breathing,” said Cat Brooks with the Anti Police-Terror Project.

Hadley and another woman were charged with several felonies in connection to a series of armed robberies . Her family says she was young and made mistakes but shouldn’t have been placed in jail for two years awaiting trial…
