Two charged with killing Hayward teen in drive-by shooting

OAKLAND — Two men have been charged with murder in the drive-by shooting of an 18-year-old who was struck in the brain stem and died seven hours later, court records show.

Daniel Ramos, 46, and Angel Pimentil, 26, have been charged with murder, shooting at an occupied motor vehicle, and shooting from an occupied motor vehicle, court records show. Ramos, the suspected shooter, has also been charged with a gun enhancement for allegedly firing the shot that killed the victim.

Police say the victim, 18-year-old Angel Enciso Ayala, was driving in a vehicle down the 27000 block of Pompano Avenue when the suspects passed him in their own vehicle. At the exact moment the two cars passed each other, Ramos allegedly opened fire, striking Enciso Ayala in the neck. He crashed his car on Havana Avenue a short distance away…
