Tuesday sports: Bulldogs lose, SJM wins, Robinson waived, Franklin hired, Murf honored

Here were some of the sports stories making news in the central valley on Tuesday.

  • The Fresno State men’s basketball team remained winless in Mountain West play (0-5), as the Bulldogs lost 91-64 at Colorado State (9-6, 3-1 MW). The Bulldogs trailed by as many as 35 points in the second half, and fell to 4-12 overall. The Bulldogs endured a 10 minute drought without a field goal in the first half, and at one point in the half, Colorado State went on an 18-2 run. Alex Crawford led the Bulldogs in scoring for a second straight game, as he finished with 21 points. The Bulldogs return home to host Nevada Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
