FEMA Disaster Assistance teams to be in Cherokee County Sunday, Monday

CHEROKEE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Members of FEMA’s Disaster Survivor Assistance Team are still hosting in person events in certain parts of the Upstate this weekend.

The FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance Team will be at the Cherokee County Emergency Operations Center, at 213 Alma St., Gaffney, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

DSA crews primarily focus on addressing the needs of underrepresented populations that may be hard to reach by traditional channels. Their mission is to assess and report critical and emerging disaster needs to FEMA leadership for decision-making purposes…
