GASTONIA, N.C. ( QUEEN CITY NEWS ) — An off-duty Gaston County Police officer has been charged in connection with a domestic violence incident, according to the police department.
Rebecca Gomez, 26, was booked around 4:15 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, for felony assault by strangulation and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. Police say she’s worked with the department since 2021.

Officials haven’t said where or when the incident took place, but the police department is still investigating and gathering facts.
