Naturally, the appropriate response to a police traffic stop is to pull over and stop the car. However, many people respond aggressively and even try to flee from law enforcement. This happened recently in South Carolina when one man led police on a high-speed chase that spanned multiple counties. Of course, he is now facing several charges for his actions.

Failure to adhere to a police traffic stop can have dire consequences, and this recent story from South Carolina proves that. According to CBS News19 , the Gaston Police Department attempted to pull over Dylan Echevarria after noticing numerous traffic violations. However, he refused to stop the car, forcing officers to pursue him.
However, his attempts to evade the traffic stop weren’t short-lived. He continued to drive and the Springdale Police Department then joined in the high-speed chase. From here, police officers from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department also loaned their service to the job of catching Dylan. Finally, deputies from Kershaw County aided and they ended up deflating his tires, causing him to end the high-speed chase.
Dylan was then arrested in Richland County for refusing the police stop. He has “unspecified charges” in that county. However, he was charged with driving under suspension, failure to stop for blue lights, reckless driving, use of a tag on another vehicle, as well as disregarding a traffic control device in Lexington County.
