ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Two men from Roanoke and Troutville were found guilty Tuesday for their involvement in the January 6 Capitol breach, according to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).
Peter Willey, 37 of Roanoke, and Ethan Mauck, 31 of Troutville were convicted of a felony offense of obstruction of law enforcement during a civil disorder and a misdemeanor offense of disorderly conduct in a Capitol building. The men are set to be sentenced on February 28, 2025.
According to the DOJ, Willey and Mauck attended the “Stop the Steal” Rally in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021, and can be seen in photos and videos entering restricted areas of the U.S. Capitol building…
