Suspect Charged with Stealing Over $25,000 in Merchandise from Brooks Brothers Store

The Montgomery County Police Department have announced the arrest of a Washington, D.C. man for a series of thefts at the Brooks Brothers store in Chevy Chase, where he stole merchandise from February 2023 to August 2024. According to 2D Commander Amy Daum, the total loss over time was more than $53,000.

Per MCPD: “Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Station have arrested and charged 45-year-old Arlic Williams, of Washington, D.C., with a series of thefts that occurred at the Brooks Brothers store in the 5500 block of Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda.

The investigation by detectives has revealed that from February 2023 to August 2024, an unknown suspect, later identified as Williams, entered the Brooks Brothers store on separates occasions, stole merchandise and left the scene…
