While trade speculation continues to swirl Redick maintains regular communication with Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka, his current focus lies on his roster as currently constructed. He believes that the current Lakers roster, when healthy, possesses the talent and potential to compete at a high level.
Lakers Coach Focused On Maximizing Current Roster
“Rob and I talk all the time, but my focus is on coaching this group and trying to maximize this group,” Redick said after Lakers practice on Friday. “Frankly, I have belief that when this group is healthy, we can compete. If there’s a move to be made, there’s a move to be made. But I’m focused on this group.”
