1 arrested after holding up South Side bank

CHICAGO A person was arrested Wednesday morning after stealing money from a Morgan Park bank that was being tracked with a GPS device.

The suspect walked into a PNC Bank around 10:15 a.m. at 10701 S. Western Ave., and passed the teller a note demanding cash, according to Ald. Matt O’Shea (19th).

The bank teller complied, and the suspect fled the scene with cash and a GPS tracking device.
