WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) – Temperatures in the teens and some snow and ice-covered roads have forced several school districts in the North Carolina mountains to change their schedules on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Officials in Ashe and Watauga counties said students will have a remote-learning day Wednesday, while those in Avery County will have a three-hour delay. Schools in Alleghany County will be closed.
