Panthers predicted to sign former No.2 overall pick as Bryce Young’s backup

The Carolina Panthers will go into the offseason on a high note, as they finally have some confirmation that Bryce Young is their future. After being benched earlier in the season, Young re-gained the starting job in Week 8 and didn’t look back.

He didn’t put up eye-popping numbers, but Young ended 2024 with 2,403 yards and 15 touchdowns to nine interceptions. The goal for Carolina now is to surround Young with talent so he can hit the ground running in year three. However, they’ll also need to add insurance behind Young, as Andy Dalton is set to be a free agent.
