It’s alarming to hear that some students in Texas have been going to the bathroom at district facilities for years and there could have been videos and pictures of them taken over the past few years.
According to My San Antonio, over three dozen plaintiffs have filed a lawsuit with Del Valle ISD and Juan Manuel Del Toro the head custodian at Del Valle Opportunity Center, which is an alternative high school in the district.
How Were the Bathroom Cameras Caught in the Texas School Bathroom?
On December 7, 2022, the school district had a contractor install vape detectors in district restrooms when a pouch was found hanging from the ceiling in one of the restrooms.
That is when 4 USB drives and 3 micro-SD cards were found. These were found to contain private and sensitive images or video footage.
