AUSTIN (KXAN) — Nov. 2 was recently declared “Austin Wildlife Rescue Day” in Austin and Travis County to celebrate local efforts to protect wildlife, according to Austin Wildlife Rescue (AWR).
The day was dedicated to AWR’s nearly 50 years of dedication to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing injured and orphaned wild animals in Central Texas.
