Improvements to the Hampstead Wastewater Treatment Plant are moving forward starting with the hiring of full-time inspectors to oversee the project.
The Board of Carroll County Commissioners at their meeting Thursday unanimously approved the hiring of Kumi Construction Management Corporation of Washington, D.C., for an amount not to exceed $270,974.70.
“A full-time inspections staff is needed,” Andrew C. Watcher, bureau chief for the Department of Public Works said. “Plant staff cannot do these inspections.”…
