Blotter: Deputies drive man to town after girlfriend kicked him out of car south of Savageton

HIGHWAY 50: A 26-year-old man got a ride to town after his girlfriend kicked him out of the car Tuesday afternoon 40 miles south of Gillette. Wyoming Highway Patrol asked for deputies to respond after seeing a man walking along Highway 50 near mile marker 41, south of Savageton. Deputies found the man at mile marker 38, who said he had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend while they were traveling from Riverton to South Dakota, said Sheriff’s Capt. Paul Pownall. She kicked him out of the vehicle and continued driving. The man was crying and told deputies he just wanted to get to Gillette. Deputies offered to give him a ride and he accepted. They drove him miles to town and dropped him off at a Kum-N-Go, where his girlfriend was waiting for him.
