Lawmakers want WYDOT to redesign IDs statewide

Despite cost and redundancy concerns, a bill that would label “noncitizens” on Wyoming driver’s licenses and identification cards was backed by the Joint Transportation, Highways and Military Affairs Committee.

Ten committee members voted in favor of the bill draft Friday afternoon, while only four lawmakers, including House Co-Chair Landon Brown, R-Cheyenne, voted against it.
